GRI Award Ceremony Details
Today I was awarded the highly esteemed Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI) designation. The certificate of designation and lapel pin were presented to me by 2017 Board President Bill Steinke, of the Royal Palm Coast Realtor Association in Fort Myers, Florida.
The GRI designation accomplishes one of my most important career goals, which was to obtain the highest level possible as a real estate professional. In combination with my brokers license, which is the highest licensing one can achieve in the real estate industry, I have achieved this goal. As the industry changes I will continue to stay informed and educated. I’m looking forward to continuing my education with seminars and certified courses in negotiation, international buyers/sellers, luxury property, legal issues and ethics.
I achieved this nationally recognized designation in under one year (we are allowed up to five years for completion of over 100 hours of coursework) by traveling to Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR) offices in Fort Myers, Tampa and New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
The GRI Benefit to You, My Customers
Buying and Selling property is often the biggest single investment you will make in your life and can be a complex and stressful task. After all, the real estate industry is constantly changing with transactions becoming increasingly complicated. Between new evolving technologies and changes in the market place, you need someone who is more than just “in the know.” You need a professional who is in touch with what’s new.
You may know that members of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) abide by a strict code of ethics. What you may not know is that there is even a higher level of education to look for when seeking help with your real estate decision. NAR members who have a Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI) designation are even more prepared to help you navigate these often complex waters. That’s because Realtors® with a GRI designation have in-depth training on the real estate market, business skills, technology tools and legal issues (both locally and nationally).
GRI designees have pursued a course of study that represents what every progressive real estate professional should know. They’ve developed a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to navigate the current real estate climate, no matter what it’s condition. They’re recognized nationally, act with professionalism and are committed to serving their clients and customers with the highest ethical standards. They’ve made a commitment to themselves, the industry, and you. So don’t just look for a real estate agent; look for a Realtor® with the Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI) designation and be confident you’ve already made a smart real estate decision.
