Laguna Lakes is a gated community with 614 residences, located in South Fort Myers along Gladiolus Drive. The entrance is directly across from Parker Lakes. These two communities share some similarities but are distinctly different. For example, Laguna Lakes has a gated main entrance with four sub-developments whereas Parker Lakes is not gated but has 11 sub-developments and about half of these have their own private gated entrance. Both communities have central amenities but were built about a decade apart so the architectural style of the homes is quite different. Laguna Lakes is a 157-acre master planned community, developed between 2003-2006 by Transeastern Homes. The concept is a serene setting of Mediterranean style homes around a multitude of lakes and nature preserves. This community is very convenient for doctors, nurses and hospital personnel who work at HealthPark Hospital, as its within a 3 minute drive, straight down Bass Road.
Laguna Lakes has a central clubhouse with a resort-style pool and sauna and a large clubhouse offering an indoor racquetball court, fitness center with Nautilus machines and meeting rooms. Additional amenities include a children’s playground area, fishing pier, volleyball and two tennis courts.
There are four sub-developments within Laguna Lakes, including: Pebble Beach, Monterey, Santa Barbara and Beverly Hills.
Single Family Homes in Laguna Lakes
Monterey has 128 one and two-story single family homes. These homes have two-car garages with tile roofs and stucco exteriors and range in size from about 1,350 to 2,150 square feet. They hug the clubhouse area, with a left turn upon entering the main gate and are located on Spring Mountain Way and Red Canyon Drive.
Santa Barbara contains 166 single family homes, both one and two-story. These homes have slightly larger lot sizes than Monterey, which allows for larger homes to be built on the lots. Homes range in size from about 1,500 to 3,000 square feet. Santa Barbara includes streets: Laguna Hills Drive, Alton Drive, Los Alisos Way, and one half of Paseo de Valencia Street.
Beverly Hills contains 84 “executive homes” on larger lots, many with three-car garages. These homes are located on a street called Paseo de Valencia and are the highest priced homes in the community, on average.
Coach Homes in Laguna Lakes
Pebble Beach homes range in size between 1,759-1,9,17 square feet homes with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and larger 2,017-2,049 square feet homes with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. These coach homes are either located on the first (ground) floor or second floor with a staircase entrance and have either a one or two-car garage. Pebble Beach is located in the front right quadrant of the community on Belleza Way, Calle Arragon and Milagrosa Drive.
