TELEGRAPH CREEK ESTATES
“It’s peaceful and relaxing to live off the beaten path. Telegraph Creek Estates offers that lifestyle… grab your fishing pole and canoe then head down to the Creek to pass away your afternoon.”
Telegraph Creek Estates is a non-gated community of single family homes that is located off North River Road (or SR78) in Alva, Florida. It is across the road from Riverwind Cove, another popular community.
Telegraph Creek runs through the center of the neighborhood and some homes are situated on the creek which leads to the River. As such, you can navigate a kayak or canoe to the River, making some homes technically “gulf access.” There is a bridge that residents use to pass over the creek if they live in the northern half of the community. It is the homeowners’ responsibility to maintain this bridge.
The community backs up to a very large parcel of land that is owned and operated by a cattle rancher. It is called Telegraph Creek Cattle Company and the pasture is used for grazing.
There are both single family homes and vacant lots available for sale.
The Franklin Locks are located just west of Telegraph Creek Estates; residents can easily enjoy this hot fishing spot. To the east is the Caloosahatchee State Park; it offers trails for hiking, horses and biking and camp sites. If you love nature and want to experience more of the original Florida way of life, Alva is the place for you!
